Parliamentarian General Sarath Fonseka who was given permission by the Speaker to attend the Commonwealth Parliamentary Union (CPU) conference in Kenya has to get Court permission to be released for his visit as he is under military detention over several charges, Minister of Mass media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella said.
The concessions granted by the parliament will not surpass the law of the country and it is up to General Fonseka to take legal assistance for his visit, he Rambukwella told reporters today.
