Gold concealed in mouth seized

Indian customs enforcers on Sunday seized 360 gm of gold from a Sri Lankan national who arrived at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in a flight from Colombo.

The gold, valued at Rs.11 lakh, was found concealed behind the tongue of one Mohammed Manzoor who arrived by the SriLankan Airlines flight UL 162 from Colombo, the enforcers said.

The gold was moulded into a triangle form and concealed behind the tongue by the Sri Lankan national who is a frequent visitor to the country.

The sleuths questioned him on his arrival at the international terminal with a hand baggage. The accused, who operated mainly via Chennai, is coming to the city for the first time.(The Hindu)
