Indian High Commissioner and Navy Commander hold brief talks

The Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Ashok K. Kantha and Sri Lanka Navy Commander Vice Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe met briefly this evening to discus mutual interests including the training of Sri Lankan Navy personnel in India.  

 

High Commissioner Kantha was accompanied by Indian Defence Attache Captain Pradeep Sing.

 

Speaking to Daily Mirror Online, Navy Spokesman Captain Athula Senerath stated that the friendly meeting was more of a courtesy call and that the two did not hold any lengthy discussions on any particular issue.

 

The High Commissioner was presented with a memento as a gesture of goodwill by the Navy Commander. (KA)
