IPU wants details on assassination of four ex-MPs

The Inter Parliamentary (IPU) Union has asked Sri Lanka to provide details on the assassination of four former Sri Lankan parliamentarians.
Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala said the IPU had asked Sri Lanka to provide details on the assassination of former MPs D.M. Dassanayake, Joseph Pararajasingham, N. Raviraj and T. Maheshwaran and the progress made on the investigations.
The IPU has asked that the information be provided during its 133rd sessions to be held from October 16 to 21.
Sri Lankan delegation will include Deputy Minister Anoma Gamage, MPs Ranjith Aluvihara, Nimal Ratnayake, Shanthi Sri Skandarajah and M. A. Sumanthiran.
