Johnston further remanded

Former Minister and Parliamentarian Johnston Fernando who was produced before the Kurunegala Magistrate this morning on the alleged financial fraud at Lanka Sathosa has been further remanded until June 8.

The order was issued by the Kurunegala Chief Magistrate Ravindra Premaratne.

MP Fernando who was arrested earlier after he was summoned before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) on the 5th of May in order to obtain a statement with regard to an alleged irregularity where the former minister had purchased items from Sathosa but had not paid for them.
