Lankan fishermen abducted?

Sri Lankan authorities are investigating into the incident where three Lankan fishermen who were allegedly abducted by a group of Indian fishermen off Valvettithurai closer to India-Sri Lanka. Maritime Boundary last morning.
A spokesperson for the Fisheries Ministry said that they were informed by several fisheries societies in the North about the incident which has been reportedly taken place ten nautical miles from the Indian-Sri Lankan maritime boundary.
Navy also said that it has not received sufficient information to confirm the abduction. The three fishermen are residents of Aathikovilady, Valvettithurai. They are Nadarajasundaram Senthuran (24), Paramaraja Suntharan Kesavaruban (21) and Pathmanathan Pathmaraj (22).
According to reports the Ministry was informed by the Valvettithurai-Aathikovilady Fisheries Union.
