A Sri Lankan man, who was employed as a domestic worker for a Kuwaiti citizen, was arrested yesterday for stealing KD 6,500 from his employer in Riqqa area.
According to sources, the Kuwaiti citizen has filed a case against the accused domestic worker at the Riqqa Police Station, explaining how he believes the crime took place. “I was with him in the car when I took the money and placed it in the vehicle. Then I went back into the house to change my clothes.
When I returned, I was shocked to see that the vehicle was open and the money was missing,” he had told the Police officials.
The Police had arrested the suspect and referred him to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action to be taken against him.
