Lankans arrive from Libya

More than six Sri Lankans who were in Libya arrived in Sri Lanka via Jordan during the weekend and around 36 more are expected tomorrow, Kingsley Ranawaka, Chairman of the Foreign Employment Bureau told Daily Mirror online

He added that there were around 800 Sri Lankans in Libya and that immediate steps were being taken to evacuate them to Sri Lanka using flights, charter flights, boats and the assistance of other countries like India.

He further added that all the Sri Lankan were safe and that all resources were being used to ensure their safe and quick return. (Daily Mirror online)
