NCP docs suspend planned strike

The strike that was to be launched tomorrow by the doctors in the North Central Province against the assault on a doctor in Anuradhapura last week has been temporarily suspended, the Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) said.

GMOA Assistant Secretary and Media spokesman Dr. Navin De Soyza said the executive committee of the union will be heading to the area to discuss the situation and review the progress of the he ongoing investigations with the NCP senior DIG and the Governor. (Supun Dias)
