Video: Nearly 100 students nabbed for forcibly entering girls’ schools

More than 100 students of a leading boys’ school in Colombo were taken into custody this morning morning on charges of having forcibly entered several leading girls’ schools in Colombo, a senior police official said.

The students were handed over to their parents a few hours later after a stiff warning. These students were taken into custody by the Kollupitiya, Bambalapitiya and Cinnamon Garden Police stations.

Police have taken steps to deploy additional policemen near Girl’s Schools in Colombo to prevent forcible entry of students from boy’s school during the upcoming big match season, the official said.
