Nine Pakistani refugees attacked in Negombo

Nine Pakistani refugees who were sheltered in a church at Negombo were attacked following an argument and were admitted to the Negombo Hospital, police said.

 

Police said a Pakistani child who had gone to the beach had got into an argument with a Sri Lankan boy, after which a group had gone to the church and attacked the Pakistanis.


 No arrests had been made in connection with the incident.
