New Zealand sealed its berth in the semi-finals of the 2011 World Cup with a 49 runs win against South Africa in their quarter-final in Mirpur, a short while ago. New Zealand will face the winner of the final quarter-final tomorrow between England and Sri Lanka.

Batting first New Zealand totaled 221 for 8 in their 50 overs. Jesse Ryder top scored with 83 from 121, with Morne Morkel taking 3 for 46.

In reply South Africa were dismissed for 172 in 43.2 overs with Jacques Kallis scoring 47 runs in 96 balls. Jacob Oram was the pick of the Kiwi bowlers taking 4 for 39.
