One killed, three injured in earth mound collapse

 One person was killed and three children seriously injured when an earth embankment collapsed on their house at Kahawatugoda in Muruthalawa this morning.
 
The victims who were pinned under the debris were evacuated by the residents with the assistance of the police and rushed to Peradeniya teaching hospital but one of them died on admission.

 

The three children including a five-month -old infant were transferred to Kandy general hospital.(Senerath Bandara)
