Members of the United National Party and the JVP staged a protest in front of the Negombo police station today and later handed over a letter to the police stating that the police should act impartially and take action regarding their complaints, Police Spokesman SSP I.M Karunaratne told Daily Mirror online.
The letter sites the failure of the police to take any action against the persons who attacked their political offices in the area. Heavy damage was caused to the political office premises in late night attacks, resulting in three people being injured. (GS)
