Postal voting extended

Postal voters who were not able to vote on Tuesday and Wednesday could mark their votes on Friday as well, Deputy Elections Commissioner W.P.Sumanasiri said today.

A total of 55,871voters had been registered for postal voting held on Tuesday and Wednesday to elect members for 65 local government bodies at the July 23 elections, Mr. Sumanasiri said.

He said all arrangements had been made for the voting, which would be held at government offices with an average of 10 to 12 voters expected to vote at each polling station. (SAJ)
