Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa suspended sittings for ten minutes, after the opposition raised a point of order against the vote on the impeachment motion claiming that a vote had not been included in today’s parliament agenda
The point of order was raised a short while ago by UNP MP Lakshman Kiriella. It was also supported by MP’s Ajith P. Perera and Dayasiri Jayasekara.
Meanwhile, a crowd of protestors are currently claiming to be aggrieved Golden Key depositors who were camped outside the Chief Justices official resixdence for the last two days have come out on to one lane of Baudhdhaloka Mawatha.
Supporters are also gathered near the parliament complex.
