Three from same family killed in accident

Three members of the same family were killed when a three-wheeler they were travelling in and a van collided head-on at Iluppakadawai in Kilinochchi last evening, police said.

Among those who died were a 54-year-old man, a 50-year-old woman and their 28-year-old daughter.

A 3-year-old girl who was injured in the tragedy was admitted to the Kilinochchi Hospital.

The van driver was arrested.
