The United National Party (UNP) will abide with the request made by the election monitoring body People’s Action for Free and Fair Election (PAFFREL) and put forward a set of candidates with clean hands.

“No one would be able to point his or her finger at our candidates as we will put forward a clean team of candidates for the two districts in the Uva Province,” party spokesman Gayantha Karunatilleke told a media briefing today.

Mr. Karunatilleke said the Nomination Board of the Party will meet tomorrow in order to make some vital decisions with regard to the candidates it was going to filed for the upcoming Uva Provincial Council. (Yohan Perera and Lahiru Pothmulla)
