Charting the way forward to establish a vibrant tourism industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Sri Lanka held its first inter-ministerial committee meeting for National Tourism Policy development today.
The meeting that was chaired by the Ministry of Tourism Secretary S. Hettiarachci, had over 25 ministries, departments, and authorities come on to one platform to share their insights and inputs.
As a part of the wider support extended by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) towards the recovery of Sri Lanka’s tourism sector, National Tourism Policy International Consultant Dr. Frederic Thomas presented the development process and key objectives in line with the Tourism Ministry’s vision for the country.
