The Sri Lankan rupee further depreciated today with the selling rate of US dollar hitting Rs.201.75, according to the Central Bank exchange rate data.
The indicative rate was Rs.198.49 and the buying rate was Rs.197.58.
Sri Lanka is currently following Modern Monetary Theory, which prescribes to print money to finance deficits.
