Ravi K requests DIFC help setting up Colombo Int’l Finance Centre

Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake recently held a special discussion with Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) Governor Essa Kazim to bolster financial relations between the two nations.
Minister Karunanayake expressed hope that the DIFC would lend its expertise to the Colombo International Finance Centre proposed to be established at D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo, in April this year.
The DIFC Governor said that the meeting would open avenues for the exchange of experiences on economic affairs and strengthening bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
He also assured to facilitate meetings between the business communities of the two countries.
