The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has called for submission of research papers on various topics for their thirteenth annual research conference that will be held in Colombo come December.
The conference that will kick off on 6 December, aims to create a platform which stimulates fresh theoretical and empirical research on contemporary macroeconomic policies.
“The conference will provide a platform for researchers from policy making and academic institutions to come together and share their experiences and views from varied perspectives,”the CBSL said in a notice.
Researchers are invited to submit papers in areas such as monetary theory and policy, exchange rate dynamics, macroeconomic modelling, the macroeconomic impacts of digitalization and artificial intelligence, climate change and monetary policy, financial sector issues, innovation, and fintech.
Researchers are also invited to submit original papers on macro-prudential policies and regulations, economic growth and development, macroeconomic policies for sustainable development, international trade and finance, commodity market dynamics, and fiscal policy and public debt dynamics.
Interested researchers should submit an extended abstract (about 1000 words) to the coordinators of the conference via email by 18 August 2024. If the researcher is represented by any institution, the completed papers must be authenticated by the relevant authority. Completed papers must be submitted by 28 October 2024.
The papers presented at the conference will be subsequently published as conference proceedings.
