Consumer Rights Forum 2016 on March 15

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has organised the first edition of the Consumer Rights Forum targeting the World Consumer Rights Day, which falls on March 15, 2016.


The forum plans to be a platform for consumers and expertise to share their interests and knowledge on the rights and obligations of the electricity consumer. 


The discussion will involve a six-member panel, which consists of officials from the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Lanka Electricity Company (Private) Limited (LECO), Strategic Enterprise Management Agency (SEMA) Chairman Asoka Abeygunawardana representing the consumer rights movements and the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Director General. 


The panel discussion will be chaired by LIRNEasia Founding Chair Rohan Samarajiva, PhD.
