DFCC Bank has unveiled its cutting-edge ‘MySpace’ digital self-banking centre in Dickoya, a unique initiative that underscores its dedication to financial inclusion and the expansion of digital self-banking services to rural communities.
The new DFCC MySpace Centre in Dickoya is home to a state-of-the-art ATM/CDM, a one-of-a-kind feature that allows for cash deposits and withdrawals 24/7, ushering in a level of convenience previously unseen in the area. As the sole provider of ATM/CDM services in Dickoya, DFCC Bank now caters to a rural community that previously had to journey a considerable distance, to Hatton at least, for their daily banking needs.
The new DFCC MySpace Centre in Dickoya accepts various local and international bank cards, including VISA, JCB, and LankaPay network cards, allowing any Sri Lankan bank cards to be used. In addition to cash withdrawals and deposits, customers can also conduct a range of other banking activities, including balance inquiries, DFCC Credit Card payments, and utility bill payments for services like CEB, LECO, water, and telecommunications providers – including Dialog, Airtel, and Hutch. These services enhance the banking experience for local residents and businesses, who can now manage their daily cash collections and banking needs with much less hassle.
Omar Sahib – Chief Digital Officer at DFCC Bank said, “We are pleased to have stepped up and become the first bank to provide the local community in Dickoya with convenient access to digital self-banking services. This initiative provides valuable cost and time savings for people by making day-to-day banking facilities easily accessible. We are excited to see this move’s positive impact as we continue our commitment to inclusive growth through digital innovation.”
This deployment is pivotal to DFCC Bank’s comprehensive strategy to foster digital banking adoption across Sri Lanka, particularly in underserved rural areas.
