KOICA conducts donation ceremony at Open University of Colombo

The Republic of Korea through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), successfully concluded a donation ceremony at The Open University of Colombo, for the development and capacity building project for a Korean Language Classroom. This would ensure that the students in the university are able to access modern educational materials to vocational and tertiary education along with increasing the number of theyouth for employment and entrepreneurship.

The ceremony was led by KOICA Volunteer, Park Youngcha Nalong with the participation of Country Director of the KOICA Sri Lanka office Kimmyungjin, Registrar of the Open University of Colombo, Head of Language Department Dr. Kala Chandramohaan, Dean of the faculty Professor Anton Piyarathne and Coordinator for the Korean Language programme Dr. Nirosha Abeysekara along with beneficiaries, instructors and academic staff on 20th September 2024 at Nawala. 

The targeted beneficiaries of this project are students within the Korean Language stream at the Open University of Colombo.
