In a continued effort to support communities affected by recent flooding, Knuckles Water collaborated with the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS) to provide essential drinking water to families in need during this challenging time.
The latest donation included 5-liter bottles of Knuckles Water, bottled by Cargills Food & Beverages Ltd. Together with the SLRCS branch in Gampaha, the initiative provided drinking water to over 500 families in the Katana AGA division, including residents from Madawala, Heenastiyana, Aramba, and Kotugoda.
“At Cargills, our commitment to the well-being of our communities drives us to take action during difficult times. Collaborating with the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society enables us to provide essential support to those affected by the floods. I’m glad that Knuckles team volunteered to distribute water in the areas highly impacted from floods and facing challenges with safe drinking water,” said Arjuna Kumarasinghe, Managing Director of Cargills Food & Beverages Ltd.
“The collaboration with Cargills Food and Beverages Ltd exemplifies our commitment to providing immediate relief to those in needs,” said the Director General of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, Dr. Mahesh Gunasekara.
“Access to clean water is a crucial necessity for the flood-affected communities, especially as many wells have been inundated and other water resources are compromised by unsanitary conditions. Our partnership with Cargills assisted in delivering essential support where it is most needed, helping families regain their health and stability in the aftermath of this disaster.”
Bottled at source in the surroundings of the Knuckles Mountain Range, this initiative underscores Knuckles Water’s commitment to delivering high-quality products as ‘the water you can trust,’ while also actively engaging in humanitarian efforts to support local communities in need.
