The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) has scheduled an insightful session titled ‘Perpetuating Your Family Business’ on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the National Chamber Auditorium.
KPMG in Sri Lanka will be the knowledge partner for this session, KPMG Partners Thamali Rodrigo and Pyumi Sumanasekara in Sri Lanka will be sharing their thoughts on the subject, who have many years of experience in assisting the family-owned businesses in planning for their future.
Family businesses are unique. It has great strengths that has to be carefully directed if a family wants to continue in business into generations.
Ownership and management succession has to be clearly defined, accountability has to be established and communication has to be strong. These are some of the key elements in a successful family business, which will survive in to generations.
During the session, these topics will be discussed with examples while exploring the uniqueness of the family business model and its challenges.
The session will be followed by a panel discussion where panellists will share their success stories.
An audience of family business owners, next-generation leaders, professionals in family-owned enterprises, consultants, advisors, start-ups and anyone interested in learning about succession planning and family business dynamics are expected to attend to the programme.
