People’s Bank organized a series of meritorious deeds in Anuradhapura to mark Poson Poya. As a part of this programme, for the 41st time in its history, People’s Bank offered alms (Heel Daana) to over 30,000 devotees who observed Sil at the sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi premises.Additionally, for the 18th time, People’s Bank conducted a glorious performance of the ‘Poson Bodhu Gee Saraniya’ at the Ruwanweli Maha Seya.
This programme of meritorious deeds was organised by People’s Bank’s staff members.
The programme was held under the patronage of Atamasthanadhipathi and The Chief Sanghanayake of the Nuwara Kalaviya Most Venerable Dr. Pallegama Hemarathana Nayaka Thero, and Chief Incumbent of the Ruwanweli Maha Seya Temple and Rajarata University of Sri Lanka Vice Chancellor Ven. Ethalawatunawewe Gnanatilake Nayaka Thero.
