SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, in partnership with Hatton National Bank (HNB), recently celebrated a milestone with the introduction of the 817th HNB ATM at SOS Children’s Village in Piliyandala.
The inauguration event was graced by distinguished guests, including SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka National Director Divakar Ratnadurai, SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka Deputy National Director Kirthi Hettiarachchi, SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka Deputy National Director and Director Programmes Dhananjaya Perera, SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka Director Head of Fund Development and Communications Gayantha Dalpadado, HNB Chief Operating Officer Sanjay Wijemanne, HNB Assistant General Manager Digital Business Chammika Weerasinghe, HNB Head of Deposits Viranga Gamage, alongside other dignitaries from both organisations.
This initiative aims to enhance banking convenience and accessibility for the local community. Reflecting the shared commitment between SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka and HNB to uplift local communities and foster sustainable development, the new ATM supports the community of Kesbewa, Piliyandala in carrying out their day-to-day financial requirements hassle-free. Ratnadurai stated, “We value our partnership with HNB for its impact on the children in our care and its potential to benefit the community’s welfare. At SOS, our commitment to community empowerment and sustainability is longstanding. This partnership with HNB to introduce a new ATM in Kesbewa reflects our goal of fostering financial well-being within the community.”
