The ZeroPlastic Clean-Up Walk 2024 is a revolutionary initiative in Sri Lanka, aiming to combat plastic pollution and promote environmental sustainability across the island.

The upcoming clean-up walk has ambitious goals for 2024 to get 10,000 volunteers across the country involved in over 100 clean-up drives and walks, in collaboration with 24 universities to take out 100,000 kilograms of plastic from the environment, and this will take place on October 26.

A further ambition of this initiative is to construct 100 public-private partnerships that will support sustainable practices and conservation efforts.

More than 100 Affiliate Clean-up Walks will be occurring in harmony across the country, each cumulatively constituting the 2024 ZeroPlastic Clean-Up Walk. Workplaces, local hubs, or places of residence are convenient enough for any person to participate, irrespective of location, to take a stand against plastic pollution. In all, it would be a joint effort dedicated to giving more significant impacts to the cleanup while ensuring that the sustainable message goes far and wide.

Clean-up walk is not just a waste removal activity, but rather a mission to preserve the natural treasures of Sri Lanka.
