The ceramic tile industry in Sri Lanka has 34 years of long history of manufacturing and distribution of tiles all over the country as well as exporting to many foreign countries in the world. The tile industry has good growth potential given the boom in the property and condominium markets and tourism, rising incomes and changing customer tastes. The major strength of the ceramic tile industry in Sri Lanka is the abundant availability of local raw materials with excellent quality and purity of the products such as kaolin, ball clay, feldspar, silica quartz and dolomite that contribute to the high standards. This industry has some significant operational strength, including a highly skilled workforce, competitive labour costs and excellent management at factory levels, state-of-the-art technology, research and development facilities, high ethical standards and confidentiality of design integrity, in contrast to Asian competitors.

Further, to strengthen Sri Lanka’s tile industry, a focused exhibition on tiles and sanitaryware is conceived. The exhibition aims at growth of Sri Lanka’s tile and sanitaryware industry in Sri Lanka and globally. The objective of the show is to assemble the local tile manufacturers, tile exporters, raw material providers and machinery manufacturers under one roof. Being the focused exhibition on tiles and sanitaryware, the visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to network with tile exporters from India.

Show Craft International Sri Lanka, the proud organiser of the show, invites the local tile and sanitaryware manufacturers and importers to be part of the show and the entire gamut of construction fraternity - architects, builders, interior decorators, constructors, builders, developers - to visit the exhibition to meet and have a wonderful opportunity of comparing and buying the best of the products in the segment. Also, the tile and sanitaryware industry will have the opportunity to develop trade contact.

The entry to the exhibition is free to allow the maximum utilization of this opportunity. So mark your dates and be part of the exhibition, which is at the BMICH, Colombo, from September 11-13.
