CA Sri Lanka adjudged ‘best new exam centre of the year’ by Cambridge University

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) recently received a special accolade as the ‘best new exam centre of the year’ from the University of Cambridge, at the Centre Exams Managers’ Conference held in Chennai, India. The award was granted in recognition of institute’s extraordinary performance and for the superior quality of teaching, learning and assessments at CA Sri Lanka. The first batch of 391 students who followed the Cambridge International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE) offered at CA Sri Lanka passed with a superior pass rate of 80 percent.
In its continuous efforts to provide the best for the finance and accountancy professionals, CA Sri Lanka tied up with the University of Cambridge in 2011 to offer an international language ICFE qualification from the University of Cambridge. This course has been meticulously designed especially for finance professionals to achieve greater heights in their career with gainful employment in the international finance arena. CA Sri Lanka became an accredited exam centre for Cambridge in 2015 in addition to offering the ICFE courses at the Institute. CA Sri Lanka President Arjuna Herath said that it was truly an honour for CA Sri Lanka for receiving such an outstanding recognition from the University of Cambridge.
“We have always been mindful of the changes and we continue to aspire to offer our stakeholders the best of qualifications and services, and to be recognised for this endeavour is truly an honour for CA Sri Lanka,” he said.
CA Sri Lanka Chief Executive Officer Aruna Alwis said that the Multimedia English Language Centre was established to help students and professionals advance their knowledge in the English language, which is essential to succeed in today’s competitive business environment.
“To be recognized for our efforts is truly a very proud achievement for us at CA Sri Lanka,” he added.
