Swiss luxury brand Chopard announced the launch of an exclusive collection of limited edition watches and jewellery at Chatham Luxury, its authorised retailer in Sri Lanka.
The collection featuring a selection of top of the line pieces, several of which are only available on special order, was introduced by Xavier Lasserre, International Sales Manager, Chopard & Cie.
Taking centre stage at this special viewing is a selection from the Happy Diamonds Icons collection, with its timeless, yet daringly modern and playfully independent style, the Happy Diamonds watches and jewellery are true emblems of Chopard design.
This will also be the first time that the Chopard Jewellery collection will be available and on display in the country. Every piece of Chopard jewellery is crafted out of 18-carat white, pink or yellow gold and the Happy Diamond watch collection is always produced in 18 carat gold. Chopard’s Happy Sport range of watches, renowned for its daring marriage of precious diamonds with stainless steel, is an iconic extension of the Happy Diamonds design. Many high-end Happy Sport watches are also included in the preview.
Several watches from the exclusive Heure du Diamant collection, which perfectly combine Chopard’s Art Deco inspired style with creative director Caroline Scheufele’s admiration for diamonds, form a glittering addition to the special exhibit, while the refined yet majestic Imperiale watches, with their mix of mother of pearl, silver, green and chocolate tones, complete the collection.
“We feel confident that we will establish a successful, long-term collaboration between Chatham and Chopard. We value their expertise in luxury brands and rely on our local expert to express our collections of fine watches and fine jewellery,” said Xavier Lasserre, International Sales Manager, Chopard & Cie.
“We feel that Sri Lanka is ready for the kind of exclusivity and design promise that Chopard commands,” said Siddarth Hirdaramani, Director of Chatham Luxury Watches. “Our customers will be able to view and purchase some exceptional pieces from the Happy Sports range, and it is also an opportunity for us to showcase the craftsmanship and expertise that distinguishes Chopard watches and jewellery.”
Chatham Luxury Watches is a venture by the Hirdaramani Group, a leading apparel manufacturer with a 100 plus year heritage, in collaboration with Sifani Jewellers, a company that has garnered international acclaim with over half a century of experience and tradition in fine jewellery retailing.
Chopard’s heritage is steeped in precision and artistry. In 1860 Louis-Ulysse Chopard established his workshop in the small village of Sonvillier. Word of the talented young watchmaker’s skill travelled rapidly across Europe and Chopard watches acquired a reputation for their precision, reliability and indomitable style. It was in 1963 that German watchmaking dynasty heir Karl Scheufele took over the company, rapidly developing the brands awareness across the world known for its distinctive style ethic and the finesse of its craftsmen. Today, Chopard is one of the most easily recognised luxury brands with retailers around the world.
Chatham’s flagship store at Galle Face Court Colombo is tailored for a luxury shopping experience.
