Leading promoter of Jewellery Casting Machinery Tools and Consumables, Humriz (Pvt) Ltd had its stall at the 25th Facets Sri Lanka Jem and Jewellery Exhibition recently.
The company showcased the latest technology in jewellery manufacturing, taking numerous visitors and dignitaries through the intricacies and evolution of the jewellery making process.
Established in 2004, Humriz (Pvt) Ltd, has been a proponent of promoting new technology in the jewellery manufacturing industry, pioneering the use of new technological machines, introducing new services and is the only company in Sri Lanka to have CAM machines for commercial purposes.
“Like all other fields, jewellery manufacturing and production has undergone a renaissance over the years. Technology has aided jewellery making considerably and given it new life, fusing the strengths of both creative, aesthetic processes and the production process in an age-old art,” explained Rizky Deen, Director of Humriz (Pvt) Ltd. “While technology has surged, jewellers have been sceptical towards adopting new technology. A part of this reluctance stems from the high costs incurred, Humriz steps in to fill this void and cater to the needs of jewellers. With more than a decade of experience in the field, Humriz helps both large-scale and small-scale jewellers adapt to new technology and lends their technical expertise, thus helping jewellers satisfy their customers better, without incurring high costs.”
CAD (Computer Aided Designing) and CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) is the two-part process of designing three-dimensional objects and manufacturing them with a computerized machine. These technologies enable jewellers to rapidly create prototypes, allowing for modification and alteration according to the customer’s wishes, assist in accurate pre-costing and precise duplication.
Wasil Sadeek, Operations Manager of Humriz (Pvt) Ltd, further elaborated on the benefits of harnessing virtual reality in the jewellery manufacturing process. “Through 3D technology, jewellers and customers can handle the jewellery before it is manufactured while allowing for digital tweaking and scaling and enabling precise duplication. In this manner photorealistic samples has helped diminish the margin of error in jewellery manufacturing and offer a variety of benefits to both manufacturers and customers.”
In addition to supplying to large scale jewellery manufacturers, Humriz (Pvt) Ltd has been integral in uplifting Sri Lanka’s jewellery making industry, by helping small scale jewellers benefit from technological innovations in jewellery casting and CAM. Apart from offering these services and providing state of the art jewellery manufacturing technology, the company also imports electro-plating chemicals and supplies alloys for jewellery.
