Lankan Young Global Leader to Davos

Asanga Abeyagoonasekera was selected as a Young Global Leader from Sri Lanka to attend this year’s World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, from January 20 to 23.
Every year, out of one 1000 applications from around the world, only 110 Young Global Leaders are selected for this important event.
Out of the Young Global Leaders Abeyagoonasekera will be the only Sri Lankan Young Global Leader who will participate the annual meeting this year.
The Forum of Young Global Leaders is a unique, multi-stakeholder community of more than 900 exceptional young leaders who share a commitment to shaping the global future.
Over 2,500 participants from business leaders from the forum’s 1,000 member companies, heads of state and government, leaders of international organisations, civil society and religious organisations, academia, the media and the arts will participate in the 46th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Alongside will be recognized leaders from other forum communities, including Global Shapers, the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, Young Global Leaders and Technology Pioneers.
The theme of the annual meeting is ‘Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution’ and the programme comprises over 250 sessions.
