Venerable Dhammananda Thích Phuoc Ngoc Thero, who received the Official state of the Sri Lankan Buddhist Sangha and became the first Vietnamese dignitary of the Sri Lankan Sangha community, and also a Government envoy in the island nation.

Venerable Bante Dhammananda Thero (Thich Phuoc Ngoc) is a monk from Vietnam, inherited and promoted the spirit of incarnate Buddhism. He has made outstanding contributions to the Buddhist community in the world. He has been carrying   out social, educational spiritual  and charitable activities in the  international arena   promoting the Buddhist values globally for fifteen years. His social and religious service made a positive impression and integrity in the international community. In addition, he has made visits on invitations from foreign missions , unions, and organizations from many countries for presiding the charity programs. In appreciating his dedication to the humanity he has interviewed in Sri Lanka TV channels as well as he has participated in international TV programs to propagate the Buddhism.

Bante Dhammananda thero (Thich Phuoc Ngoc) is an internationally recognized Buddhist monk who has been conducting big events  of volunteer campaigns with the participation  of politicians, VIP,  diplomatic missions of many countries around the world. Through these non-stop diplomatic activities, Vietnamese Buddhist culture in particular, and the Buddha's Dharma in general have been widely replicated by him in every walk of life. The bold imprint on his homeland of Vietnam in which he built the Buddhist spiritual constructions that achieved Vietnamese Records and World Records.

Bante  Dhammananda (Thich Phuoc Ngoc) is also the founder of the Buddhist Orphanage Center “The Source of Love”, a home for helpless orphans and disabled people.  He became the first Vietnamese monk who was honoured  with  a medal from the International Union Red Cross in 2016.  This was bestowed him for his dedication and contribution for the humanitarian assistance to the world community.

In 2019, Bante Dhammananda ( Thich Phuoc Ngoc)  became a Member  of the Development Council of Vietnam Global Record Organization (VietWorld) in 2019 and then elected as the Head of the International Relations Department of the Vietnam Records Institute Council. This position quite helpful to him to continue charitable service and also to  promote the Buddhism in the world.
As the part of his charitable programs he got an opportunity to visit Sri Lanka in 2019 and it was a turning point his life. He launched various religious and social programs in Sri Lanka with the participation of leading Buddhist monks and politicians and he was honored by the Prime Minister of the country. Bante Dhammananda thero (Thich Phuoc Ngoc)  has sponsored for the scholarship program for monks studying in  Buddhist monasteries. This is a very helpful and very timely program to encourage Buddhist education in Sri Lanka. This scholarship program was launched in a solemn ceremony at the Bandaranaike International Convention Center in Colombo.
In recognition of Venerable Thich Phuoc Ngoc's special contribution to Buddhist activities and landmark diplomacy for the development of Buddhist education in the country, the Ministry of Education respectfully appointed and awarded him the title of International Envoy to the Government’s Buddhist Commendation Committee. At the same time, the Sri Lankan Buddhist Sangha and the Ministry of Buddhism awarded him the official membership of Sri Lankan Buddhist Sangha  and  given the official name as  Bante Dhammananda Thero.
In early 2020, he continues to be honored with the responsibility of Chairman of the Child Development Fund “Isuru Sevana “- one of the largest child protection funds under the Ministry of Child Care in Sri Lanka. With enthusiasm and spirit of borderless service, Venerable Dhammananda Thero (Thich Phuoc Ngoc) is doing his best to upgrade the education level of children in the orphanage and promoting the values of Buddhism among  young generation.
He always shows his love for the country and people of Sri Lanka, Venerable Dhammananda Thero (Thich Phuoc Ngoc) emphasizes that Sri Lanka is his second homeland. The Government and the Buddhist Sangha of Sri Lanka appreciate his great effort in various fields in Sri Lanka . We encourage  Bante Dhammananda Thero (Thich Phuoc Ngoc)  more and more to  continue his religious and welfare activities for the well being of the Buddhism in general, and  Sri Lankan people in particular and for peace, prosperity and development of the world.
