Business activities across the country will be massively disrupted tomorrow (6 May) with the Trade Union Coordinating Center (TUCC) preparing for a one day hartal.
Majority of the businesses, and banks across the country will not operate tomorrow. The aim is to show the present regime that the fight will continue until a new people’s government is secured, the TUCC said in a social media post, calling in the private sector to join the protest.
Over 8 million people, working in the state, semi-state, private and plantation sectors would stay back from coming to work and join the hartal protests in their cities by engaging in non-violent activities.
The TUCC cautioned that continuing to turn a deaf ear to the voices of the people calling for the government to step down will lead to a continued hartal from 11 May 2022.
