The Export Development Board (EDB) has announced a revision to the export target for 2021 to US $ 15.72 billion from the US $ 15.68 set earlier this year.
The EDB said that from the revised target, US $ 12.14 billion will be from merchandise exports and US $ 3.58 billion from services exports.
Previously the expectation was to fetch US $ 12 billion from merchandise exports and $ 3.58 billion from services exports.
For the January - September 2021 period, earnings from exports were recorded at US$ 11.1 billion including the estimated services data for July to September, which is 70.63 percent of the revised export target.
