Dubai-based carrier, Emirates has extended suspension of flights from four countries in South Asia, including Sri Lanka, from 14 Jul to 21 of July.
Emirates in its official website today said flights from Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh have been suspended for another week.
It added that passengers who have connected through the four countries in the last 14 days will not be accepted to travel from any other point to the UAE.
However, UAE nationals, holders of UAE Golden Visas, and members of diplomatic missions who comply with updated COVID-19 protocols, are exempt and may be accepted for travel, the airline said.
The UAE has also banned its citizens from traveling to several countries including Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
