The first female French athlete team for the 20th edition of Raid Amazones arrived in Sri Lanka today.
Flown in by national carrier SriLankan Airlines the airline sponsor, 253 athletes landed from Paris to participate at the biggest women’s adventure challenge in the world.
Raid Amazones 2022 is the first adventure sports festival to be hosted by Sri Lanka since being impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event will kick off on the 16 March where the first phase will end on 22 March. The second phase will take place from 28 March to 6 April.
A series of events will be held in Sigiriya, Kaudulla, Medirigiriya, Wewala, Kandalama and Mahawilgamuwa.
