Clay-based utensils remain popular among Sri Lankan households due to their affordability and health benefits compared to modern cookware with aluminum and non-stick coatings.
The benefits of clay-based cookware include the absence of harmful chemicals, retention of nutrients, enhanced flavour, and balanced pH levels in food.
