The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) has initiated preliminary engagement with SpaceX in exploring the introduction of Starlink Internet Services in Sri Lanka.

Starlink is considered the world's most advanced board and Internet system.

The TRCSL shared today that initial discussions focused on regulatory aspects and prerequisites of launching the service in the near future for Sri Lanka.

Developed by SpaceX, an American aerospace manufacturer, space transportation service and communications company founded by Elon Musk, Starlink Internet works by sending information via the vacuum of space, where it travels much faster than in fiber-optic cable and can reach far more people and places.
