The National Organisation for the Preservation of Rights of Retired Personnel today staged a protest at the "Agitation Location" near Galle Face Green, demanding the suspended pension for the period from 2016 to 2019 and pension payment from January this year and to increase their pension by Rs.10,000 to survive the ever swelling cost of living. The protesters then marched from Fort Station to the President's Secretariat to hand over a request to the President and later took part at a demo at the Agitation Location. Pix by Kithsiri de Mel
