Former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka, while leaving the Colombo High Court premises to Welikada prisons said that rulers in the past toiled to safe guard the country, culture and the people and instead the rulers today had joined hands with nefarious elements like thugs, rapists and thieves to ruin the country.
