A relic from the arm of St Sebastian, a saint who is deeply revered by Sri Lankan Roman Catholics was brought to Sri Lanka today. The relic will be enshrined at St. Sebastian's Shrine, Kandana, in honour of the saint from Narbonne, who is rightly considered a role model for Christian, as he was ready to sacrifice everything, including his life, for Jesus.

The relic is a gift from Msgr. Enso Poiyana, the Chief Administrator of the Basilica of St Anthony in Padua who had received the relic from Narbonne, France. Pix by Pradeep Pathirana
