Kaveen Bandara guides NCC to third successive win

An unbeaten 51 in 34 balls inclusive of five boundaries and two sixes by Kaveen Bandara paved the way for NCC to overcome Air Force SC by seven wickets and record their third successive win of the ongoing Major Club T20 cricket tournament played at P. Sara Stadium.

Bandara, along with Thaveesha Abishek, shared an unbroken 76-run stand for the fourth wicket for NCC, chasing 112 runs for victory, to reach the target in the 13th over.

Panadura SC recorded a close ten-run win over fancied and unbeaten Chilaw Marians CC in another match of the same tournament played at the SSC ground while Army SC defeated Police SC by five wickets in the match played at Maggona to record their first win of the tournament.

CCC and Moors SC too maintained their unbeaten run with wins against BRC and Negombo CC in the evening session matches played at the SSC ground and Maggona to record their third successive wins while Galle CC beat Kandy Customs CC at P Sara Stadium to record their first win.
