For the very first time, the three big German institutions represented in Sri Lanka joined hands to send off the ‘German bus’.
Packed with story books, stationery, games and other goodies the bus will stop at one school per day in Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu to perform dramas, play football and many other games for two weeks. The 25 bus team members consist of performing arts students from Jaffna and Batticaloa universities, the Thaabit Ahmed Football Academy (TAFA) as well as staff members of the German Embassy, the Goethe Institute and German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The main sponsor of this project is DIMO which is providing the bus for two weeks. Other sponsors are Allianz Insurance Lanka, Würth Lanka, Ceyoka and Egidius Braun Foundation. The bus team will also raise awareness about these and other top German brands in Sri Lanka.
