Toyota Lanka (Private) Limited, the sole authorized distributor for Toyota vehicles in Sri Lanka in its effort to recognize and support the ‘real heroes’ of our nation, tied up with “Ranaviru Real Star” for the 5th consecutive time this year.
Having been a key supporter of the event since its inception, Toyota Lanka gifts one of its latest motor vehicles to the first runner-up of the competition each year.
Speaking on Toyota’s contribution to this worthy cause, Managing Director of Toyota Lanka, Shungo Yoshioka said, “Ranaviru Real Star, I believe is an initiative that has carved out a niche for itself during the four consecutive seasons it has been conducted. Compared to the more commercialized versions of reality singing contests that we witness in Sri Lanka, I feel that Ranaviru Real Star differentiates itself by not only showcasing talent, but by also highlighting the human and aesthetic side of a very special group of people that this nation owes much to.
“I am proud to say that Toyota Lanka (Private) Limited has been a stakeholder of this grand initiative from the very inception and it is due to the undeniable sincerity of this event that we continue to be a part of it. It is a known fact that honor and integrity are foremost among a soldier’s code of conduct and it is these traits that we also adopt as a corporate entity when conducting business, in a bid towards delivering the highest level of satisfaction to our customers,” he added This year’s first runner-up position was secured by Lieutenant Amila Siriwardana of the Sri Lanka Navy. He received the keys to a Toyota Avanza worth over 6 million rupees. The vehicle was officially handed over to Lieutenant Amila at a special ceremony held at The Kingsbury recently.
Toyota Lanka has been an integral part of this event as it strongly believes in the objective of appreciating the country’s tri-forces for the sacrifice they have made in securing peace for the Nation.
