As a responsible corporate citizen NDB strives to foster sustainability across all its business decisions and strategies. As part of this endeavour, the Bank has made ‘Responsible Behaviour’ an integral element of the Bank by promoting employee volunteerism within the organization. This has encouraged employees of NDB to walk that extra mile to offer a positive benefit towards the society and contribute to the Bank’s broader objective of being a responsible corporate citizen. This project by the IT department of NDB is another successful effort of volunteering by the Bank’s staff members.
Through its employee volunteerism programme, NDB provides its staff members with the opportunity to assimilate their talents with compassion for the deprived and marginalized, inspiring them to create meaningful benefactions to the society.
The employee volunteerism projects are formulated and carried out successfully amidst their day-to-day work responsibilities and bears witness to the dedication of NDBs employees in making a positive change in the society; thus contributing to the Bank’s broader sustainability efforts.
NDB’s wider approach to sustainability is categorised on the basis of strategic, environmental and operational initiatives; out of which, the strategic initiatives are built on entrepreneurship, and education. NDB continues to empower the youth of the nation through its multiple projects that place emphasis on issues that are critical for sustainable economic growth and progress of the nation.
