Envisioning a greener digital future, Ceylinco General Insurance has commenced issuing its policies and certificates in digital form, thereby offering greater convenience to its customers.

Issuing of digital policies and certificates is in accordance with the provision of Section 3 of the Electronic Transactions Act No 19 of 2006 which says, “No data message, electronic document, electronic record or other communication shall be denied legal recognition, effect, validity or enforceability on the ground that it is in electronic form.”
For the convenience of the customers and to overcome any obstacles, the relevant section of the Electronic Transactions Act will be attached to the digital certificate. In line with the provisions of the Electronic Transactions Act, all authorities will be bound to accept digital certificates and policies as valid proof.
